The present working paper on the topic of discrimination based on work and descent has been prepared pursuant to Sub-Commission resolution 2003/22, with a view to fulfilling the mandate given in Sub-Commission resolution 2000/4.

80. At its fifty-third session, the Sub-Commission had before it the working paper submitted by Mr. Rajendra Kalidas Wimala Goonesekere on the topic of discrimination based on work and descent (E/CN.4/Sub.2/2001/16).
80- عُرضت على اللجنة الفرعية في دورتها الثالثة والخمسين ورقة العمل التي قدمها السيد راجندرا كالييداس ويمالا غوليسكيري حول موضوع التمييز القائم على أساس العمل والنسب (E/CN.4/Sub.2/2001/16).

In its resolution 2003/22, the Sub-Commission decided to entrust Mr. Eide and Mr. Yokota with the task of preparing a further working paper on the topic of discrimination based on work and descent with a view to fulfilling the mandate contained in Sub-Commission resolution 2000/4, in particular, in order:

At its fifty-sixth session, the Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights examined the expanded working paper on the topic of discrimination based on work and descent (E/CN.4/Sub.2/2004/31), submitted by Asbjörn Eide and Yozo Yokota pursuant to Sub-Commission resolution 2003/22.
1- نظرت اللجنة الفرعية لتعزيز وحماية حقوق الإنسان في دورتها السادسة والخمسين في ورقة العمل الموسعة عن موضوع التمييز القائم على أساس العمل والنسب (E/CN.4/Sub.2/2004/31) التي قدمها السيد أسبيورن إيدي والسيد يوزو يوكوتا، عملا بقرار اللجنة الفرعية 2003/22.

3. In decision 2001/110, the Sub-Commission decided, without a vote, " to entrust Mr. Goonesekere with the preparation, without financial implications, of an expanded working paper on the topic of discrimination based on work and descent in other regions of the world " .
3- وفي مقررها 2001/110، الذي اعتمدته دون تصويت، قررت اللجنة الفرعية " أن تعهد إلى السيد غونيسكيري مهمة القيام، دون أن تترتب على ذلك أي آثار مالية، بإعداد ورقة عمل موسعة عن موضوع التمييز القائم على أساس العمل والنسب في مناطق أخرى من العالم " .
