32. Also at the same meeting, Ram S. Tiwaree, Economic Affairs Officer, Information and Communications Technology and Disaster Risk Reduction Division, Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), presented a paper entitled " Geospatial information system for disaster risk management in Asia and the Pacific " (E/CONF.102/IP.15).

The functions of the posts are as follows: (i) under the leadership of the Director of the ECA subregional office for North Africa, the Economic Affairs Officer at the P-4 level will lead the delivery of operational activities of the ECA subregional office for North Africa by enhancing the policy coordination and policy development of the office in strengthening regional integration.

At the 8th meeting, on 10 October, introductory statements were made under sub-items (b) and (c) by the Senior Economic Affairs Officer of the Financing for Development Office of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, and the Chief of the Debt and Development Finance Branch of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (see A/C.2/60/SR.8).
