In May 2012, the Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions expressed his concern about the continuous attempts by the military justice system to claim jurisdiction over cases of extrajudicial executions, and about information indicating reprisals and pressure against military judges who had sought to collaborate with the ordinary justice system.
