9- يدعو البلدان الأطراف المتأثرة إلى مضاعفة جهودها في مجال إنشاء نظم رصد وطنية تعنى تحديداً بالتصحر وتدهور الأراضي والجفاف أو زيادة تحسين نظم الرصد القائمة؛

To develop national monitoring systems for industrial productivity at different levels of aggregation (firm, sectoral, regional and national) at the country level, in order to measure, monitor and set targets for short-term and long-term trends in productivity;

44. Some Parties invited developed country Parties and relevant organizations to provide additional support to African country Parties and the Small Island Developing States for the establishment and maintenance of national monitoring systems, through both financial and technical means.
44- ودعت بعض الأطراف البلدان الأطراف المتقدمة والمنظمات ذات الصلة إلى تقديم دعم إضافي إلى البلدان الأطراف الأفريقية والدول الجزرية الصغيرة النامية لإنشاء وصون نظم رصد وطنية بالوسائل المالية والتقنية على حد سواء.

To establish, according to national circumstances and capabilities, robust and transparent [national forest[1] monitoring systems and, if appropriate, subnational systems as part of national monitoring systems that] [forest monitoring systems that]:
(ج) إنشاء نظم رصد ]وطنية للغابات [(1) [ قوية وشفافة وفقاً للظروف والإمكانات الوطنية، وعند الاقتضاء، إنشاء نظم دون وطنية، كجزء من نظم الرصد الوطنية التي[ ]نظم رصد الغابات التي[:

(g) Develop and strengthen national monitoring systems on the quantity, quality and use of surface- and groundwater resources at national and local levels, and for measuring progress towards internationally agreed goals and targets, as appropriate, as well as for assessing the impact of climate variability and change on water resources, through the following actions:

While recognizing the number of DLDD-specific information systems reported by affected country Parties, a call for providing adequate technical and financial support to the eligible affected country Parties to establish integrated DLDD specific national monitoring systems harmonizing the diverse environmental monitoring systems, was made by some Parties.

It was generally agreed that capacity-building is still needed in many areas, including data collection and archiving, use of remote-sensing technology (including interpretation and adequate application to specific national circumstances, such as complex topography and persistent cloud cover), developing and implementing national monitoring systems, and forest carbon inventories.
