ويؤيد وفد بلادي ما جاء في بيان مندوب إندونيسيا الذي أدلى به نيابة عن دول حركة عدم الانحياز ومندوب سورية نيابة عن المجموعة العربية.

Taking into consideration the initiative introduced by the Syrian Arab Republic, on behalf of the Arab Group, at the Security Council calling for the establishment of a zone free from all weapons of mass-destruction in the Middle East Region;

In that connection, my delegation associates itself with the statements made by the representative of Antigua and Barbuda on behalf of the Group of 77 and China and by the representative of Algeria on behalf of the Arab Group.
وفي هذا السياق، يود وفد بلادي أن يضم صوته إلى البيان الذي أدلى به ممثل أنتيغوا وبربودا نيابة عن مجموعة الـ 77 والصين، والبيان الذي أدلى به ممثل الجزائر نيابة عن المجموعة العربية.

It had participated in many initiatives having that objective, including the submission of a related draft resolution to the Security Council in 2003 on behalf of the Arab Group.
وقد شاركت في مبادرات كثيرة لها نفس الهدف، بما في ذلك تقديم مشروع قرار في هذا الشأن إلى مجلس الأمن في عام 2003 نيابة عن المجموعة العربية.

24. Mr. Al-Mansour (Kuwait) said that his delegation wished to associate itself with the statements made by the representative of Morocco on behalf of the Group of 77 and China and the representative of the Syrian Arab Republic on behalf of the Arab Group.

184. The Ministers took into consideration the draft resolution tabled by the Syrian Arab Republic, on behalf of the Arab Group, before the Security Council on 29 December 2003 on the establishment of a zone free of all weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East.
184- ووضع الوزراء في اعتبارهم مشروع القرار الذي قدمته الجمهورية العربية السورية نيابة عن المجموعة العربية أمام مجلس الأمن يوم 29 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003 بشأن إنشاء منطقة خالية من أسلحة الدمار الشامل في الشرق الأوسط.

Mr. Al-Musawi (Iraq) (spoke in Arabic): My delegation is pleased to make a statement on behalf of the Arab Group on the resolution entitled " Strengthening of the coordination of emergency humanitarian assistance of the United Nations " (resolution 64/76), which the General Assembly has just adopted.
السيد الموسوي (العراق): يسر وفد بلادي أن يدلي ببيان نيابة عن المجموعة العربية حول القرار المعنون " تعزيز تنسيق المساعدة الإنسانية التي تقدمها الأمم المتحدة في حالات الطوارئ " (القرار 64/76).

At the 7th meeting of the Committee of the Whole, on 9 February 2001, the Committee agreed to transmit, in square brackets, the draft decision on the above subject for consideration by the Council on the basis of the draft decision contained in conference room paper UNEP/GC.21/CW/CRP.3, submitted by Egypt (on behalf of the Arab Group).

On 13 June the Council held a public meeting on the situation in the Middle East in response to a letter from the Permanent Representative of Bahrain to the United Nations requesting, on behalf of the Arab Group, that an immediate meeting be convened to consider the grave and deteriorating situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Jerusalem.
وفي 13 حزيران/يونيه، عقد مجلس الأمن جلسة علنية حول الحالة في الشرق الأوسط استجابة للطلب الذي تقدم به الممثل الدائم لمملكة البحرين (نيابة عن المجموعة العربية) لعقد اجتماع فوري للنظر في الحالة الخطيرة والمتدهورة في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس.

38. Mr. Sahel (Observer for Morocco), speaking on behalf of the Arab Group, said that the occupation by Israel of the Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, was particularly painful for Morocco inasmuch as his country, in the person of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, was the Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee of the Organization of the Islamic Conference.
38 - السيد ساهل (المراقب عن المغرب): تكلم نيابة عن المجموعة العربية فقال إن احتلال إسرائيل للأرض الفلسطينية بما فيها القدس الشرقية أمر مؤلم بالنسبة للمغرب بوجه خاص لأن بلده ممثلا بشخص صاحب الجلالة الملك محمد السادس يترأس لجنة القدس التابعة لمنظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي.

Mr. Bin Huwaidin (United Arab Emirates) (spoke in Arabic): First, I should like to express the support of my delegation for the statements made on this item by the representative of Indonesia on behalf of the NonAligned Movement and by the representative of Lebanon on behalf of the Arab Group.
السيد بن هويدن (الإمارات العربية المتحدة): في البداية، أود أن أعرب عن تأييد وفد بلادي لما جاء في بيان ممثل إندونيسيا نيابة عن حركة عدم الانحياز، والبيان الذي أدلى به ممثل لبنان نيابة عن المجموعة العربية فيما يتعلق بهذا البند.

A draft resolution (S/2001/1199) -- introduced by Tunisia on behalf of the Arab Group -- by which the Council would have condemned all extrajudicial executions, the excessive use of force and the wide destruction of property, and would have encouraged the establishment of a monitoring mechanism to help the parties, had not been adopted, despite 12 votes in favour, because one permanent member of the Council had voted against it.
ولم يُعتمد مشروع قرار (S/2001/1199) تقدمت به تونس نيابة عن المجموعة العربية كان من المفترض أن يشجب بموجبه المجلس جميع عمليات الإعدام التي تتم خارج إطار القضاء، والاستعمال المفرط للقوة، والتدمير الواسع النطاق للممتلكات، كما أنه يشجع على إنشاء آلية للرصد تقدم المساعدة للأطراف، على الرغم من حصول مشروع القرار على 12 صوتاً مؤيداً، وذلك بسبب تصويت عضو واحد من الأعضاء الدائمين في مجلس الأمن ضده.
