Mr. Swe (Myanmar), associating his delegation with the statement made by Malaysia on behalf of the Movement of Non-Aligned States, said that multilateral agreements and approaches were the only way to effectively respond to disarmament issues and new security challenges such as the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and terrorism.
