1. The relevant definitions of the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal shall apply to wastes covered under this Convention for Parties to the Basel Convention.
1 - تنطبق التعاريف ذات الصلة الواردة في اتفاقية بازل بشأن التحكم في نقل النفايات الخطرة والتخلص منها عبر الحدود، على النفايات التي تشملها هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة للأطراف في اتفاقية بازل.

" 3. A declaration takes effect simultaneously with the entry into force of this Convention in respect of the State concerned.
" 3- يصبح الاعلان نافذ المفعول في ذات الوقت الذي يبدأ فيه نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة للدولة المعنية.

The national action plan shall, no later than one year after the entry into force of this Convention for the Party, be submitted to the Secretariat for distribution to the Parties.
ويجب على الطرف أن يقدِّم خطة عمل وطنية إلى الأمانة، لتعميمها على الأطراف، في موعد لا يتجاوز سنة واحدة بعد بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة للطرف.

Eliminate such mining within X years of the date of entry into force of this Convention for it.
(ج) أن ينهي هذا التعدين خلال (X) سنة من تاريخ بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة له.

2. Each Party shall not allow primary mercury mining that was not being conducted within its territory at the date of entry into force of this Convention for it.
2 - على كل طرف ألاّ يسمح بتعدين زئبق أوّلي لم يكن يجري داخل أراضيه في تاريخ بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة له.

Where a coastal State intends to establish, in accordance with article 76, the outer limits of its continental shelf beyond 200 nautical miles, it shall submit particulars of such limits to the Commission along with supporting scientific and technical data as soon as possible but in any case within 10 years of the entry into force of this Convention for that State.
حين تنوي دولة ساحلية أن تعين، وفقا للمادة ٧٦، الحدود الخارجية لجرفها القاري وراء ٢٠٠ ميل بحري، عليها تقديم تفاصيل هذه الحدود إلى اللجنة مع البيانات العلمية والتقنية الداعمة في أقرب وقت ممكن، على أن يتم ذلك في أي حال في غضون عشر سنوات من بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة إلى تلك الدولة.

2. The provisions of this Convention shall not affect the rights and obligations of any Party deriving from a bilateral, regional or international agreement into which it has entered prior to the entry into force of this Convention for it.
٢- لا تؤثر أحكام هذه الاتفاقية على حقوق أي طرف والتزاماته الناشئة عن أي اتفاق ثنائي أو إقليمي أو دولي دخل طرفا فيه قبل بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة له.

2. The provisions of this Convention shall not affect the rights and obligations of any Party deriving from a bilateral, regional or international agreement into which it has entered prior to the entry into force of this Convention for it.
٢ - لا تؤثر أحكام هذه الاتفاقية على حقوق أي طرف والتزاماته الناشئة عن أي اتفاق ثنائي أو إقليمي أو دولي يكون قد دخل طرفا فيه قبل بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة له.

1. Each Party that has artisanal and smallscale gold mining within its territory at the date of entry into force of this Convention for it shall reduce and, where possible, eliminate the use of mercury in such mining.
1 - يجب على كل طرف يوجد في أراضيه تعدين للذهب الحرفي والضيّق النطاق في تاريخ بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة له أن يحدّ، حيثما أمكن، من استخدام الزئبق في التعدين من هذا القبيل وأن ينهيه.

The countries of the world have all attached great importance to the negotiations on this Convention and many Heads of State and cabinet ministers delivered speeches emphasizing the importance of the Convention for the global environment and the welfare of mankind.
وقد علقت بلدان العالم كلها أهمية كبرى على التفاوض بشأن هذه الاتفاقية، فقد ألقى عدد كبير من رؤساء الدول ووزراء للحكومات ببيانات أكدوا فيها أهمية هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة للبيئة العالمية ورفاه اﻹنسانية.

As provided for in the Convention, the first report shall be submitted by a State party as soon as practicable, but not later than 180 days following the entry into force of the Convention for that State party.
وحسب الاتفاقية، ينبغي لكل دولة طرف أن تقدم تقريرها الأول في أقرب وقت ممكن عمليا وفي موعد لا يتجاوز 180 يوما بعد بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة لتلك الدولة الطرف.

2. The first report shall be submitted to the subsidiary body within two years of the entry into force of the Convention for the State Party concerned.
2- يقدم التقرير الأول إلى الهيئة الفرعية في غضون سنتين من بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة للدول الأطراف المعنية.

(a) Within two years of the entry into force of the Convention for the State Party concerned;
(أ) في غضون سنتين من بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة للدولة الطرف المعنية؛

3. A declaration takes effect simultaneously with the entry into force of this Convention in respect of the State concerned.
3- يسري مفعول الاعلان في ذات الوقت الذي يبدأ فيه نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة للدولة المعنية.

(a) Within two years after the entry into force of the present Convention for the State party concerned; and
(أ) في غضون سنتين من بدء نفاذ هذه الاتفاقية بالنسبة إلى الدولة الطرف المعنية؛
