وقد عُقدت هذه الجلسة اليوم بناء على طلب 118 دولة عضوا تشكل حركة عدم الانحياز.

وفي هذا الصدد أشكركم جزيل الشكر، السيد الرئيس، على تنظيم هذه الجلسة اليوم.

We reiterate that unambiguous position in this meeting today.
ونحن نؤكد مجددا هذا الموقف الواضح في هذه الجلسة اليوم.

I also wish to thank you for convening this meeting today.
وأود أن أشكركم أيضا على عقد هذه الجلسة اليوم.

That is the reason we are at this meeting today: to address the crucial issue of fighting and preventing AIDS and to evaluate the progress made in that regard.
