وقال إنه وفقا لقرار الجمعية العامة ٤٥/٢٤٨ باء سادسا، فإن اللجنة الخامسة هي اللجنة الرئيسية التابعة للجمعية العامة المختصة بالمسؤولية عن المسائل اﻹدارية ومسائل الميزانية.

In that connection, his delegation wished to recall General Assembly resolution 45/248 B VI, paragraph 1 of which reaffirmed that the Fifth Committee was the appropriate Main Committee of the General Assembly entrusted with responsibilities for administrative and budgetary matters.
وقال إن وفده يود في هذا الصدد أن يشير إلى الفقرة الأولى من الجزء " سادسا " من قرار الجمعية العامة 45/248 باء التي أكدت مجددا أن اللجنة الخامسة هي اللجنة الرئيسية التابعة للجمعية العامة المكلفة بمسؤوليات شؤون الإدارة والميزانية.

14 - ويُسترعى انتباه اللجنة إلى أحكام الجزء السادس من قرار الجمعية العامة 45/248 باء المؤرخ 21 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1990، الذي أكدت فيه الجمعية العامة من جديد على أن اللجنة الخامسة هي اللجنة الرئيسية التابعة للجمعية العامة، المختصة بالمسؤولية عن المسائل الإدارية ومسائل الميزانية؛ وأكدت فيه من جديد أيضا على دور اللجنة الاستشارية لشؤون الإدارة والميزانية.
