The chair of the intersessional working group on pentachlorophenol and its salts and esters will be invited to present the draft risk profile.

The Committee adopted decision POPRC-8/4, on PCP and its salts and esters, which stated as follows:
واعتمدت اللجنة المقرر ل.ا.م- 8/4 بشأن الفينول الخماسي الكلور وأملاحه وأستراته والذي ينص على ما يلي:

Furthermore, in its decision POPRC-8/4, the Committee was satisfied that the screening criteria had been fulfilled for pentachlorophenol and its salts and esters.
وبالإضافة إلى ذلك أبدت اللجنة، في مقررها ل.ا.م- 8/4 اقتناعها بأن معايير الفرز قد استوفيت بالنسبة للفينول الخماسي الكلور وأملاحه وأستراته.

The Committee will then review additional information on pentachlorophenol and its salts and esters and consider the proposal for listing it in Annexes A, B and/or C. The following procedure is suggested:

The Committee considered that the articles treated with PCP and its salts and esters should not be used for domestic or residential purposes, e.g. residential and public buildings.
176- ترى اللجنة أن المواد المُعالجة بالفينول الخماسي الكلور وأملاحه وأستراته لا ينبغي استخدامها في الأغراض المنزلية أو السكنية، مثل المباني السكنية والعامة.

At the time of adoption, a one member asked that the present report reflect her view that the risk management evaluation provided equivocal information regarding the recommendation to list pentachlorophenol and its salts and esters in Annex A only.
