The assessment could also support the implementation of national legislation and environmental agreements such as the Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats (Bern Convention), the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals (Bonn Convention) and the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the North-East Atlantic (OSPAR Convention).
