Recognizing the many existing regional, national and subnational days and international events across the globe that celebrate and honour all types of forests and trees outside forests,
وإذ تقر بوجود العديد من الأيام الإقليمية والوطنية ودون الوطنية والمناسبات الدولية في جميع أنحاء لعالم التي يجري فيها الاحتفال بجميع أنـواع الغابات والأشجار الموجودة خارج الغابات وإجلالها،

Recognizing that forests and trees outside forests provide multiple economic, social and environmental benefits, and emphasizing that sustainable forest management contributes significantly to sustainable development and poverty eradication,
إذ تسلم بأن الغابات والأشجار الموجودة خارج الغابات تنشأ عنها مكاسب اقتصادية واجتماعية وبيئية متعددة، وإذ تشدد على أن الإدارة المستدامة للغابات تساهم مساهمة كبيرة في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة والقضاء على الفقر،

5. In the forest instrument, Member States recognized that forests and trees outside forests provide multiple economic, social and environmental benefits and that sustainable forest management contributes significantly to sustainable development and poverty eradication.
5 - ويقر صك الغابات بأن الغابات والأشجار الموجودة خارج الغابات توفر فوائد اقتصادية واجتماعية وبيئية عديدة وبأن الإدارة المستدامة للغابات تسهم إسهاما مهما في التنمية المستدامة واستئصال الفقر.

1. Decides to proclaim 21 March of each year the International Day of Forests, to be observed starting in 2013, in order to celebrate and raise awareness of the importance of all types of forests and of trees outside forests;
1 - تقرر إعلان 21 آذار/مارس من كل عام اليوم الدولي للغابات، على أن يبدأ الاحتفال به اعتبارا من عام 2013 من أجل الاحتفاء بجميع أنـواع الغابات والأشجار الموجودة خارج الغابات والتوعية بأهميتها؛

Recognizing the importance of the multiple economic, social and environmental benefits derived from goods and services provided by forests and by trees outside forests;
وإذ تسلّم بأهمية المنافع الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والبيئية المتعددة المستمدة من السلع والخدمات التي توفرها الغابات والأشجار الموجودة خارج الغابات()،

Follow-up activities include harmonizing the core definitions in French and Spanish, standardizing terminology on forest carbon and biomass, and harmonizing terminology related to natural and managed forests, planted forests and trees outside forests.
وتشمل أنشطة المتابعة تحقيق المواءمة بين التعاريف الرئيسية الصادرة بالإسبانية والفرنسية، وتوحيد المصطلحات المتعلقة بفحم الغابات وكتلتها الحيوية، والمواءمة بين المصطلحات المتصلة بالغابات الطبيعية والغابات المدارة والغابات المزروعة والأشجار الموجودة خارج الغابات.

2. Invites all Member States to devote the International Day, as appropriate in the national context, to presenting and promoting concrete activities with regard to all types of forests and trees outside forests;
2 - تدعو جميع الدول الأعضاء إلى تكريس اليوم الدولي، حسب الاقتضاء، في السياق الوطني، لعرض أنشطة ملموسة تتعلق بجميع أنـواع الغابات والأشجار الموجودة خارج الغابات وتشجيع تلك الأنشطة؛

3. Encourages all Member States to organize activities related to all types of forests and trees outside forests, such as tree planting campaigns, at the time most appropriate to each State;
3 - تشجع جميع الدول الأعضاء على تنظيم أنشطة تتصل بالغابات والأشجار الموجودة خارج الغابات بجميع أنواعها، من قبيل حملات غرس الأشجار، في الوقت الأنسب لكل دولة؛

3. At its ninth session, the Forum requested the Secretary-General to continue to address the relationship between forests and trees outside forests and the internationally agreed development goals, including the Millennium Development Goals, at relevant international and regional meetings addressing sustainable development.
3 - وفي الدورة التاسعة، طلب المنتدى إلى الأمين العام مواصلة الاهتمام بالعلاقة بين الغابات والأشجار الموجودة خارج الغابات وبين الأهداف الإنمائية المتفق عليها دوليا، بما في ذلك الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية، وذلك في الاجتماعات الدولية والإقليمية ذات الصلة المعنية بالتنمية المستدامة.

17. Requests the Secretary-General to continue to address the relationship between forests and trees outside forests and the internationally agreed development goals, including the Millennium Development Goals, at relevant international and regional meetings addressing sustainable development;
17 - يطلب إلى الأمين العام مواصلة التصدي للعلاقة بين الغابات والأشجار الموجودة خارج الغابات وبين الأهداف الإنمائية المتفق عليها دوليا، بما في ذلك الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية، وذلك في الاجتماعات الدولية والإقليمية ذات الصلة التي تعالج التنمية المستدامة؛

(c) " Forest resources " : The natural resources found in a forest that include water, wildlife, foliage and forest floor plants, as well as in wooded land and trees outside forests; [see previous para. 3 (h)]
