UNCTAD should continue to analyse the development dimension of intellectual property and its trade-related aspects, including the trade-related aspects of intellectual property rights; the transfer of technology to developing countries; and the protection, preservation, sustainable use, and fair and equitable sharing of the benefits of knowledge, genetic resources and folklore.
85- ويجب على الأونكتاد أن يواصل تحليل البعد الإنمائي للملكية الفكرية ولجوانب حقوق الملكية الفكرية المتصلة بالتجارة؛ ونقل التكنولوجيا إلى البلدان النامية؛ وحماية المعارف التقليدية والموارد الجينية والتراث الشعبي وحفظها واستخدامها استخداماً مستداماً وتقاسمها على نحو عادل ومنصف.

He acknowledged and welcomed the work done in the area of traditional knowledge by the CBD Working Group on Article 8(j) and related provisions, as well as by WIPO's Intergovernmental Committee on Traditional Knowledge, Genetic Resources and folklore.

In 2000, it had established an Intergovernmental Committee (IGC) on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and folklore, whose mandate was to discuss international aspects of intellectual property issues in relation to those areas.
وأنشأت المنظمة في عام 2000 لجنة حكومية دولية معنية بالملكية الفكرية والموارد الجينية والمعرفة التقليدية والتراث الشعبي (الفولكلور)، وولايتها مناقشة القضايا الدولية للملكية الفكرية المتعلقة بتلك المجالات.

In May 2011, the Special Rapporteur gave the keynote speech at a session in Geneva of the Intergovernmental Committee on Intellectual Property and Genetic Resources, Traditional Knowledge and folklore of WIPO, which is in the process of developing an international legal instrument on traditional knowledge, genetic resources and traditional cultural expressions.

UNCTAD should undertake analysis on the strengthening of the development dimension in rule-making on intellectual property and TRIPS, including effective transfer of technology to developing countries; protection of traditional knowledge, genetic resources, and folklore; and fair and equitable benefit sharing.
107- وينبغي للأونكتاد إجراء تحليل بشأن تعزيز البعد الإنمائي عند صياغة قواعد الملكية الفكرية والاتفاق المتعلق بجوانب حقوق الملكية الفكرية المتصلة بالتجارة، ويشمل ذلك نقل التكنولوجيا بفعالية إلى البلدان النامية؛ وحماية المعارف التقليدية، والموارد الجينية، والتراث الشعبي (الفلكلور)؛ وتقاسم المكاسب بشكل عادل ومنصف.
