1. The meeting was convened pursuant to Decision II/8, in which the Preparatory Committee decided to continue with the drafting and review of the " Statement of principles and commitments and global plan of action " during the inter-sessional period in an open-ended informal group.
١- عقد الاجتماع عملا بمقرر اللجنة التحضيرية د - ٢/٨ الذي قررت فيه مواصلة صياغة واستعراض بيان المبادئ والتعهدات وخطة العمل العالمية خلال فترة ما بين الدورات في فريق غير رسمي مفتوح العضوية.

(e) The two Working Groups would deal with items 3 (Status of preparations for the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements (Habitat II)) and 4 (Outcome of the Conference: draft statement of principles and commitments and global plan of action);

(a) The Committee is expected to finalize the negotiations and reach an agreement on the draft statement of principles and commitments and global plan of action of the Conference;

ويرد مشروع بيان المبادئ والتعهدات وخطة العمل العالمية )جدول أعمال الموئل( الذي أعده فريق الصياغة غير الرسمي في الوثيقة A/CONF.165/PC.3/4.

1. In its Decision II/8 the Preparatory Committee for the United Nations Conference on Human Settlements (Habitat II), at its second substantive session, decided to continue with the review and drafting of the Statement of Principles and commitments and global plan of action during the inter-sessional period in an open-ended informal group.
١- قررت اللجنة التحضيرية لمؤتمر اﻷمم المتحدة للمستوطنات البشرية )الموئل الثاني( فـــي مقررها د - ٢/٨ الذي اتخذته في دورتها الموضوعية الثانية، مواصلة صياغة واستعراض بيان المبادئ والتعهدات وخطة العمل العالمية خلال فترة ما بين الدورات في فريق غير رسمي مفتوح العضوية.
