The Committee strongly recommends that the State party ratify the amendments to article 8, paragraph 6, of the Convention, adopted on 15 January 1992 at the Fourteenth Meetings of States Parties to the Convention and endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 47/111.

97. The Advisory Committee recalls its recommendation on biennial auditing as endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 52/212 of 22 December 1997.
٩٧ - تذكﱢر اللجنة الاستشارية بالتوصية التي قدمتها بشأن مراجعة الحسابات التي تجري كل سنتين والتي أيدتها الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٥٢/٢١٢ المؤرخ ٢٢ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٧.

18. Reiterates that the Plan of Action adopted by the Regional Conference on Assistance to Refugees, Returnees and Displaced Persons in the Great Lakes Region, held at Bujumbura from 15 to 17 February 1995, as endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 50/149 of 21 December 1995, continues to be a viable framework for the resolution of the refugee and humanitarian problems in that region;
١٨ - تؤكد من جديد أن خطة العمل التي اعتمدها المؤتمر اﻹقليمي لتقديم المساعدة إلى اللاجئين والعائدين والمشردين في منطقة البحيرات الكبرى الذي عقد في بوجمبورا في الفترة من ١٥ إلى ١٧ شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٥، والتي أيدتها الجمعية العامة في قرارها ٥٠/١٤٩ المؤرخ ٢١ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٥، لا تزال تمثل إطارا صالحا لحل مشاكل اللاجئين والمشاكل اﻹنسانية في تلك المنطقة؛

The Committee also reiterates its appeal to the State party to ratify the amendments to article 8, paragraph 6, of the Convention, adopted on 15 January 1992 at the Fourteenth Meeting of States Parties to the Convention and endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 47/111.
34- كما تجدد اللجنة دعوتها للدولة الطرف بالمصادقة على التعديلات التي أدخلت على الفقرة 6 من المادة 8 من الاتفاقية، والتي اعتمدت في 15 كانون الثاني/يناير 1992 في الاجتماع الرابع عشر للدول الأطراف في الاتفاقية، والتي أيدتها الجمعية العامة في قرارها رقم 47/111.

8. Taking into account the purpose of the medium-term plan, that is, to guide future budget planning, it might have been desirable to recall the recommendations contained in the Vienna Declaration and Plan of Action and endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 48/121, namely:

17. The Committee recommends that the State party ratify the amendments to article 8, paragraph 6, of the Convention, adopted on 15 January 1992 at the fourteenth meeting of States parties to the Convention and endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 47/111 of 16 December 1992.
17- وتوصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف بالتصديق على التعديلات على الفقرة 6 من المادة 8 من الاتفاقية، وهي التعديلات التي اعتمدت في 15 كانون الثاني/يناير 1992 في الاجتماع الرابع عشر للدول الأطراف في الاتفاقية والتي أيدتها الجمعية العامة في قرارها 47/111 المؤرخ 16 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 1992.

The Committee notes with appreciation that the State party made the optional declaration provided for in article 14 of the Convention in 1994 and has ratified the amendments to article 8, paragraph 6, of the Convention, adopted on 15 January 1992 at the Fourteenth Meetings of States Parties to the Convention and endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 47/111.
399- وتلاحظ اللجنة مع التقدير أن الدولة الطرف قامت في عام 1994 بالإعلان الاختياري المنصوص عليه في المادة 14 من الاتفاقية وصادقت على التعديلات المدخلة على الفقرة 6 من المادة 8 من الاتفاقية، المعتمدة في 15 كانون الثاني/يناير 1998 في الاجتماع الرابع عشر للدول الأطراف في الاتفاقية، والتي أيدتها الجمعية العامة في قرارها 47/111.

13. Based on legislation linking the resident coordinator and the resident representative of UNDP, and in line with the United Nations reform package announced by the Secretary-General in July and endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 52/12, UNDP continues to fulfil its responsibility as manager and funder of the resident coordinator system.
13 - استنادا إلى التشريع الذي يربط بين المنسق المقيم والممثل المقيم لبرنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي، وتمشيا مع مجموعة تدابير الإصلاح التي أعلنها الأمين العام في شهر تموز/يوليه، والتي أيدتها الجمعية العامة في قرارها 52/12، يواصل برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي الاضطلاع بمسؤوليته في إدارة وتمويل نظام المنسقين المقيمين.

85. The Committee noted with concern that recommendation 2 contained in the report of OIOS (E/AC.51/2008/2) and endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 63/247, upon the recommendation of the Committee at its forty-eighth session, had not been fully implemented.
85 - ولاحظت اللجنة بقلق أن التوصية 2 الواردة في تقرير مكتب خدمات الرقابة الداخلية (E/AC.51/2008/2) والتي أيدتها الجمعية العامة في قرارها 63/247، بناء على توصية اللجنة في دورتها الثامنة والأربعين، لم تنفذ كاملة.

The Plan of Action contained in the note by the Secretary-General on review of the implementation of the recommendations of UNISPACE III (A/59/174, paras. 228-316) and endorsed by the General Assembly in its resolution 59/2 presented findings and proposed specific actions in those areas that are important for strengthening and further improving the well-being and the future of all nations.
وتضمنت خطة العمل، الواردة في مذكرة الأمين العام عن استعراض تنفيذ توصيات اليونيسبيس الثالث (الوثيقة A/59/174، الفقرات 228-316) والتي أيدتها الجمعية العامة في قرارها 59/2، استنتاجات واقتراحات تدابير محددة في تلك المجالات التي لها أهمية في تعزيز رفاه ومستقبل جميع الشعوب ومواصلة تحسينهما.
