The report attempted to usurp or undermine the universally accepted rights of parents to determine the quality of their child's education and to provide appropriate direction and guidance in the child's exercise of his or her rights; of Member States to educate their citizens in a manner consistent with their culture and particular situation; and of all citizens to freedom of thought, conscience and religion.
ويحاول التقرير ابتزاز أو تقويض حقوق الوالدين المقبولة عالمياً في تقرير نوعية تعليم أطفالهم وتوفير التوجيه والإرشاد المناسبين في ممارسة الطفل حقوقه أو حقوقها؛ وحق الدول الأعضاء في تعليم مواطنيها بطريقة تتفق مع ثقافتها والحالة الخاصة؛ وحق جميع المواطنين في حرية الفكر والضمير والديانة.

His delegation welcomed the fact that in its general comment on article 18 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the Human Rights Committee had reaffirmed the importance of the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion, and had emphasized the wide range of beliefs covered by and the very limited restrictions permitted under the Covenant.
٣٣ - إن وفد ايرلندا يشيد بأن لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان قد أكدت من جديد بصدد البند ١٨ من العهد الدولي للحقوق المدنية والسياسية أهمية الحق في حرية الرأي والضمير والديانة كما أكدت المجال العريض ﻹعمال هذا الحق والحيز الضئيل للقيود التي يأذن بها العهد.

(f) Continuing restrictions on the exercise of the freedom of thought, conscience, religion or belief, including the use of registration procedures as a means to limit the right and freedom of thought, conscience and religion of members of certain religious communities;

We call to mind the recommendation of the General Assembly in Resolution S-23/3 paragraph 98c that action be taken at the national and international levels to: " Promote respect for the right of women and men to the freedom of thought, conscience and religion.
ونحن نذكر بتوصية الجمعية العامة الواردة في الفقرة 98 (ج) من القرار دإ-23/3 القاضية بوجوب اتخاذ إجراءات على الصعيدين الوطني والدولي لـ: " تعزيز الاحترام لحق المرأة والرجل في حرية التفكير والضمير والديانة.
