The net remuneration margin for 2005 between United Nations officials in the Professional and higher categories and United States federal civil service employees in comparable positions had been estimated at 111.1 on the basis of the approved methodology and existing grade equivalencies.

(i) Salaries for staff members in the Professional and higher categories and for Field Service personnel shall be subject to the assessment rates specified in subparagraph (b) (i) of that regulation;

In 1996, ICSC, in close cooperation with the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Board (UNJSPB), recommended a common staff assessment scale for the Professional and higher categories and the General Service and related categories for the determination of pensionable remuneration levels of both categories.
