The Office guided the discussions and contributed, through these sessions, to building confidence between the indigenous peoples and Afro-descendant populations on the one hand and the NHRI on the other.

III. Cooperation between parliaments and NHRIs in relation to legislation
ثالثاً- التعاون بين البرلمان والمؤسسة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان فيما يتعلق بالتشريعات

34. Parliaments and NHRIs should cooperate to ensure that the international treaty bodies are provided with all relevant information about the State's compliance with those obligations and to follow up recommendations of the treaty bodies.
34- ينبغي أن يكفل البرلمان والمؤسسة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان توفير جميع المعلومات المفيدة لهيئات المعاهدات الدولية بشأن وفاء الدولة بتلك الالتزامات ومتابعة توصيات هيئات المعاهدات.

36. Parliaments and NHRIs should jointly develop a strategy to follow up systematically the recommendations made by regional and international human rights mechanisms.
36- ينبغي أن يشترك البرلمان والمؤسسة الوطنية لحقوق الإنسان في وضع استراتيجية لمتابعة التوصيات التي تقدمها الآليات الإقليمية والدولية المعنية بحقوق الإنسان متابعةً منهجيةً.
