Fortunately, as a result of the warning issued by the United Nations, various States have increased their assistance. The United Nations has effectively initiated a regional planning process to evaluate the humanitarian situation with the neighbouring States and to coordinate with them the delivery of assistance to Afghan refugees and internally displaced persons.
إلا أن من حسن الطالع أنـه نتيجة للتنبيه الذي أصدرته الأمم المتحدة قامت الدول المختلفة بزيادة مساعداتها، كما أحسنت الأمم المتحدة صنعا، حيث أجرت عملية تخطيط إقليمية بمشاركة دول الجوار لتقدير الموقف الإنساني والاحتمالات المختلفة وكيفية التعامل معها بصورة منسقة وصولا إلى توفير المساعدات للاجئين الأفغان والنازحين داخليا منهم.

وتلاحظ مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين كذلك أن عددا متزايدا من اللاجئين والنازحين داخليا قد عادوا إلى ديارهم.

9. Upon the invitation of the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in September 2006 the OIC delegation visited the temporary settlements for refugees and IDPs in Narimanov, Binagadi, Saatly, Imishi and Bilasuvar districts of Azerbaijan.
9 - بناء على دعوة من حكومة جمهورية أذربيجان، قام وفد تابع لمنظمة المؤتمر الإسلامي في أيلول/سبتمبر 2006، بزيارة لأماكن الاستيطان المؤقتة للاجئين والنازحين داخليا في مقاطعات ناريمانوف وبنغادي وساتلي وإميشي وبيلاسوفار الأذربيجانية.

The mission has identified that despite commendable efforts of the Government of Azerbaijan these refugees and IDPs are living under difficult conditions and this grave situation requires constant and focused attention of the international community.
وخلصت البعثة إلى أن هؤلاء اللاجئين والنازحين داخليا يعيشون في ظروف صعبة رغم الجهود الجديرة بالثناء التي تبذلها جمهورية أذربيجان وأن تلك الحالة الخطيرة تحتاج إلى أن يولي لها المجتمع الدولي اهتماما متواصلا ومركَّزا.
