On 9 July, the Special Coordinator of the Secretary-General for Lebanon, Derek Plumbly, and the Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, Hervé Ladsous, briefed the Council in closed consultations on the implementation of resolution 1701 (2006) and on the activities of UNIFIL over the past four months.
