2. In paragraph 3 of the same section of the resolution, the General Assembly requested the Secretary-General to ensure selection of consultants on a more competitive basis and to keep the instances of recourse to sole candidates to a strict minimum, each such case being formally approved at an appropriate level of authority, on an exceptional basis, prior to engagement.
٢ - وفي الفقرة ٣ في الجزء نفسه من القرار، طلبت الجمعية العامة إلى اﻷمين العام، أن يكفل اختيار الخبراء الاستشاريين على أساس تنافس أوسع، وألا يلجأ إلى تعيين المرشح الوحيد إلا في أضيق الحدود، على أن تتم، قبل التعاقد، الموافقة رسميا وبصفة استثنائية على كل حالة على المستوى المناسب للسلطة.

It shall hold regular meetings in the country that acts as President Pro Tempore of CELAC and extraordinary meetings when the President Pro Tempore, in consultation with Member States, so determines.
