Recalls the intention of the Unit to undertake a comprehensive peer review as explained in paragraphs 15 and 27 (d) of annex III to its report for 2008 and programme of work for 2009, and in this respect requests the Unit to include analysis and recommendations in its report to the General Assembly at the first part of its resumed sixty-eighth session, concerning, inter alia:

By its resolution 1994/68 of 9 March 1994, the Commission on Human Rights invited the representative of the Secretary-General on internally displaced persons to make suggestions and recommendations with regard to ways and means, including the institutional aspects, of providing adequate and effective protection of and assistance to internally displaced persons.
