12. The Republic of the Congo has had ten years to take steps, as it noted was required, to confirm or deny the presence of anti-personnel mines in the south west of the country, and, to destroy or ensure the destruction of all anti-personnel mines in mined areas under its jurisdiction or control.

59. On the basis of information provided by States Parties, since entry into force no mined areas that Argentina, Congo, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of) have reported under their jurisdiction or control have been cleared of anti-personnel mines or otherwise determined to be not dangerous due to the presence or suspected presence of anti-personnel mines.
59- وعلى أساس المعلومات التي قدمتها الدول الأطراف، لم تطهَّر من الألغام المضادة للأفراد، منذ بدء نفاذ الاتفاقية، أي منطقة ملغومة كانت الأرجنتين وفنزويلا (جمهورية - البوليفارية) والكونغو والمملكة المتحدة لبريطانيا العظمى وآيرلندا الشمالية قد أبلغت أنها تخضع لولايتها أو سيطرتها، ولم تحدَّد أي من هذه المناطق أنها مناطق لا تنطوي على أخطار ناجمة عن وجود ألغام مضادة للأفراد أو عن الاشتباه في وجودها.

In addition, on 22 June 2011, Germany informed the Standing Committee on Mine Clearance, Mine Risk Education and Mine Action Technologies that it suspected that there may be anti-personnel mines in areas under the jurisdiction or control of Germany and provided an update on this matter at the 11MSP.
