It was clear, therefore, that the efforts of the Government, civil society and other interested parties to eradicate the scourge of domestic violence were finally paying off, and it was hoped that those efforts would culminate in the adoption of appropriate legislation to criminalize all forms of violence against women.

Urges all States, relevant United Nations bodies, the African Union and other interested parties to cooperate fully with the Committee and the Panel of Experts, in particular by supplying any information at their disposal on implementation of the measures imposed by resolutions 1556 (2004) and 1591 (2005);
12 - يحث جميع الدول وهيئات الأمم المتحدة المعنية والاتحاد الأفريقي وسائر الأطراف المهتمة بالأمر على التعاون بشكل كامل مع اللجنة وفريق الخبراء، ولا سيما بتوفير أي معلومات في حوزتها عن تنفيذ التدابير المفروضة بموجب القرارين 1556 (2004) و 1591 (2005)؛

Requests the Department of Public Information of the Secretariat to organize a meeting of experts, the private sector, relevant non-governmental organizations, members of civil society and other interested parties, including the media, on the morning of 15 April 2004, in conjunction with the plenary meeting, to raise awareness and exchange information on best road practices;
4 - تطلب إلى إدارة شؤون الإعلام التابعة للأمانة العامة أن تنظم، صباح يوم 15 نيسان/أبريل 2004، اجتماعا للخبراء والقطاع الخاص والمنظمات غير الحكومية ذات الصلة وأعضاء منظمات المجتمع المدني وسائر الأطراف المهتمة بالأمر ومن بينها وسائط الإعلام، يعقد جنبا إلى جنب مع الجلسة العامة، من أجل زيادة الوعي بأفضل الممارسات على الطرق وتبادل المعلومات بشأنها؛
