The right to self-determination was vitally important and his delegation strongly supported the Special Committee's conclusion that the ongoing policy of fragmentation of the occupied territories, the continuing construction of the separation wall and increased settlement activities dramatically affected the territorial contiguity and social fabric of the Palestinian people and constituted a gross violation of international law.
16 - ولحق تقرير المصير أهمية حيوية ويؤيد وفده بقوة النتيجة التي توصلت إليها اللجنة الخاصة من أن السياسة الراهنة الرامية إلى تفتيت الأراضي المحتلة، ومواصلة بناء الجدار العازل، وزيادة الأنشطة الاستيطانية تؤثر بشكل كبير في الامتداد الإقليمي والنسيج الاجتماعي للشعب الفلسطيني وتمثل انتهاكا خطيرا للقانون الدولي.
