here we reaffirm the unity and independence of the Iraqi people and their right to self-determination. وفي هذا المقام نؤكد الحرص على وحدة وسيادة العراق وحق شعبه في تقرير مصيره، ونتطلع إلى إرساء دعائم الأمن والاستقرار في العراق بما يمهد لعودة الحياة الطبيعية إلى البلاد ويفسح المجال أمام ممارسة الشعب العراقي حقه في اختيار قيادته السياسية عبر انتخابات حرة ونزيهة تعبر عن طموحاته وآماله.
