(31) While noting the State party's information that juvenile offenders are not given criminal records and are not subjected to capital punishment, the Committee is concerned by the fact that the Juvenile Offenders Act No. 18 applies only to children under the age of 15 (arts. 2, 11 and 16).

10. The Committee takes note of the measures taken to prevent and combat violence against women, but is nonetheless concerned about the persistence of this phenomenon (arts. 3, 6 and 7 of the Covenant).

537. The Committee welcomes the many and various legislative measures taken by the State party to strengthen the protection of children's rights, but is concerned at the lack of effective measures for the implementation of all the recently adopted laws, which creates a gap between law and practice.
