وبعد إصدار تقرير الفريق (S/2001/1015)، أكدت السلطات الغانية رسميا أن بوكاري زار أكرا في الفترة من 17 إلى 28 أيار/مايو 2001 ونزل في فندق ايبوني في مدينة دزور وولو، تحت اسم مستعار هو سام جونسون (انظر المرفق الثالث). ولاحظ الفريق من تفحصه لكشوفات الرحلات الجوية أن شخصا باسم ســـــام جونسون قد سـافر عدة مرات في عام 2001 بين أكرا ومنروفيا.
