The States Parties may decide between the following two options:

With a view to promoting confidence in compliance with the provisions of the Treaty, States Parties may implement agreed transparency and confidence-building measures, on a voluntary basis, unless agreed otherwise.
وتوخياً لتعزيز الثقة في الامتثال لأحكام هذه المعاهدة، يجوز للدول الأطراف في المعاهدة أن تنفذ، على أساس طوعي، التدابير المتفق عليها المتعلقة بالشفافية وبناء الثقة، ما لم يُتفق على خلاف ذلك.

1. States Parties may establish manned and unmanned stations on the Moon.

Further, article 34, paragraph 3, provides that States Parties may adopt more strict or severe measures for combating transnational organized crime than are provided for under the Convention.
وعلاوة على ذلك، تنص الفقرة 3 من المادة 34 على أنَّه يجوز للدول الأطراف أن تعتمد تدابير لمكافحة الجريمة المنظَّمة عبر الوطنية تكون أكثر صرامة أو شدَّة من التدابير المنصوص عليها في الاتفاقية.

60. States Parties may consult each other and request information for any matter regarding the implementation and operation of this Treaty.

States Parties may transfer to one another proceedings for the prosecution of offences under this Convention in cases where such transfer is considered to be in the interests of the proper administration of justice.
يجوز للدول الأطراف أن تنقل فيما بينها دعاوى للمحاكمة على الجرائم بموجب هذه الاتفاقية في الحالات التي يعتبر فيها ذلك النقل لصالح إقامة العدل على النحو الواجب.

Moreover, in accordance with paragraph 22 of that article, States Parties may not refuse to provide assistance on the sole ground that the offence is also considered to involve fiscal offences.

The Committee recognizes that States Parties may choose the measures through which they fulfill these obligations, so long as they are effective and consistent with the object and purpose of the Convention.

States Parties may in no circumstances invoke article 4 of the Covenant as justification for acting in violation of humanitarian law or peremptory norms of international law, for instance by taking hostages, by imposing collective punishments, through arbitrary deprivations of liberty or by deviating from fundamental principles of fair trial, including the presumption of innocence.

States Parties shall not decline to act under the provisions of this paragraph on the ground of bank secrecy.

1. Upon ratification, States Parties can make a declaration postponing the implementation of their obligations either under Part III or under Part IV of the present Protocol.
1- يجوز للدول الأطراف إثر عملية التصديق أن تصدر إعلاناً بتأجيل تنفيذ التزاماتها سواء بمقتضى الجزء الثالث أو الجزء الرابع من هذا البروتوكول.

Accordingly, where public officials or State agents have committed violations of the Covenant rights referred to in this paragraph, the States parties concerned may not relieve perpetrators from personal responsibility, as has occurred with certain amnesties (see general comment No. 20 (44)) and prior legal immunities and indemnities.
وتبعاً لذلك، وحيثما يرتكب الموظفون العموميون أو وكلاء الدولة انتهاكات للحقوق المشمولة بالعهد والمشار إليها في هذه الفقرة، لا يجوز للدول الأطراف أن تعفي مرتكبي هذه الانتهاكات من المسؤولية الشخصية مثلما حدث في بعض حالات العفو (انظر التعليق العام رقم 20(44)) والحصانات القانونية المسبقة.

States parties should not require military conscription of indigenous children under the age of 18 years.

63. The requesting and the inspected State Parties may participate in the Executive Council's deliberations on inspection requests without voting.
٣٦- يجوز للدول اﻷطراف الطالبة والدول اﻷطراف موضع التفتيش الاشتراك، بدون أن تصوت، في مداولات المجلس التنفيذي بشأن طلبات التفتيش.

The Optional Protocol also provides for an inquiry procedure, which States parties to the Protocol may opt out of at the time of signature, ratification or accession.
وينص البروتوكول الاختياري أيضا على إجراء يتعلق بالتحقيق يجوز للدول الأطراف في البروتوكول أن تختار عدم الالتزام به عند التوقيع أو التصديق أو الانضمام.

While States Parties may refuse migrant workers who do not have work permits access to their labour markets, once an employment relationship has been initiated and until it is terminated, all migrant workers, including those in an irregular situation, are entitled to equal conditions of work and terms of employment.
