The nominated experts would participate in the Committee's eighth and ninth meetings, to be held in 2012 and 2013, on an interim basis, pending confirmation of their appointments by the Conference at its sixth meeting.

The persons nominated as arbitrators should, in addition to the requirements of fairness, competence and integrity, be experienced in maritime affairs.
