Similarly, my delegation is deeply concerned about the tragic situations continuing in Angola, Somalia and Rwanda despite the fact that the United Nations is still providing humanitarian assistance to alleviate the suffering of their peoples.
وبالمثل، يشعر وفد بلدي بقلق بالغ إزاء الحالات المأساوية المستمرة في أنغولا والصومال ورواندا على الرغم من حقيقة أن اﻷمم المتحدة لا تزال تقدم مساعدة إنسانية لتخفيف معاناة شعوب تلك البلدان.

It is therefore a source of deep regret to my delegation that the economic, commercial and financial embargo against Cuba, which has its origins in the cold-war confrontation, is still in place so long after the end of the cold war.
لذلك، يشعر وفد بلدي بأسف عميق إذ يرى أن الحصار الاقتصادي والتجاري والمالي المفروض على كوبا، والذي ترجع نشأته الى فترة الحرب الباردة والمجابهة، لا يزال ساريا بعد أن انتهت تلك الحرب بفرة طويلة.

None the less, my delegation is greatly concerned at the continued Israeli occupation of Palestinian and Arab lands.
ومع ذلك، يشعر وفد بلدي بقلق كبير إزاء استمرار الاحتلال الاسرائيلي ﻷراض فلسطينية وعربية.

In this respect, my delegation is pleased that democracy has been restored in Haiti, thanks to the determination of the people of Haiti and the efforts of the international community.
وفي هذا الصدد، يشعر وفد بلدي بالسرور إزاء استعادة الديمقراطية في هايتي، بفضل عزم شعب هايتي وجهـــــود المجتمع الدولي.

my delegation is heartened by the Secretary-General's approach, aimed at promoting a transparent and inclusive process rather than at taking the implementation of the Panel's recommendations for granted.
يشعر وفد بلدي بالارتياح إزاء نهج الأمين العام الرامي إلى تعزيز عملية شفافة وشاملة بدلا من النظر إلى تنفيذ توصيات الفريق كأمر مسلم به.

my delegation is heartened, however, by the fact that the majority of the members of the Working Group favour the view that the use of veto be limited to matters taken up under Article VII of the Charter.

In this regard, my delegation is deeply perturbed by the slow progress made by the Open-ended Working Group on the Question of Equitable Representation on and Increase in the Membership of the Security Council.
وفي هذا الصدد، يشعر وفد بلدي بقلق عميق مــــن بطء التقدم المحرز في عمل الفريق العامل المفتوح العضوية المعني بمسألة التمثيل العادل في عضوية مجلس اﻷمن وزيادة هذه العضوية.

For all these reasons, my delegation is deeply concerned about the serious difficulties that the Court is experiencing as a result of the financial crisis of the United Nations.
ولكل هذه اﻷسباب، يشعر وفد بلدي بقلق عميق ازاء الصعوبات الخطيرة التي تعانيها المحكمة نتيجة لﻷزمة المالية التي تواجه اﻷمم المتحدة.

In this respect, my delegation is gratified by the efforts being made by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, in conjunction with the OAU, to assist refugees and find solutions to their plight.
وفي هذا الصدد، يشعر وفد بلدي بالارتياح للجهود التي تبذلها مفوضية اﻷمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين بالتعاون مع منظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية لمساعدة اللاجئين وايجاد حلول لمحنتهم.

It is for this reason that my delegation is very encouraged by the momentum which has built up in recent years towards finally getting the Conference back to work, beginning with the innovative approach introduced by the Polish presidency in 2006.
ولهذا السبب يشعر وفد بلدي بالتشجيع بسبب قوة الدفع التي تراكمت في السنوات الأخيرة لإعادة المؤتمر أخيراً إلى جادّة العمل، بدءاً بالنهج الابتكاري الذي استحدثته الرئاسة البولندية في عام 2006.

my delegation is concerned over the lack of progress in the area of nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation -- the lack of progress by nuclear-weapon States in the total elimination of their nuclear arsenals.
يشعر وفد بلدي بالقلق حيال عدم إحراز تقدم في مجال نزع السلاح النووي وعدم الانتشار - عدم إحراز الدول الحائزة للأسلحة النووية تقدما في القضاء التام على ترساناتها النووية.

It is in this regard that my delegation is concerned that after a three-year period of positive economic growth, Africa's economic performance slackened last year, thus demonstrating once again the fragility of the recovery process in our region.
وفي هذا الصدد، يشعر وفد بلدي بالقلق ﻷن اﻷداء الاقتصادي في أفريقيا، بعد فترة دامت ثلاث سنوات من النمو الاقتصادي اﻹيجابي، بدأ يتباطأ في السنة الماضية، مما يدلل مرة أخرى على مدى هشاشة عملية الانتعاش في منطقتنا.

In that context, my delegation is pleased that the Director General of the OPCW noted, in particular, the need for key countries in the Middle East and on the Korean peninsula to accede to the Convention.
وفي ذلك السياق، يشعر وفد بلدي بالارتياح للملاحظة التي أبداها المدير العام لمنظمة حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية، وبوجه خاص إزاء ضرورة انضمام البلدان الرئيسية في الشرق الأوسط وشبه الجزيرة الكورية إلى الاتفاقية.

my delegation is therefore pleased in advance at the decision to be taken by the General Assembly to authorize the extension of the mandate of the United Nations component of MICIVIH and wishes to express its thanks to the delegations that have worked with us to achieve this objective.
لذلك يشعر وفد بلدي مقدما بالسرور بالقرار الذي ستتخذه الجمعية العامة بأن يأذن بتمديد ولاية مكون اﻷمم المتحدة التابع للبعثة المدنية الدولية الى هايتي، ويرغب في أن يعرب عن آيات شكره للوفود التي عملت معنا من أجل تحقيق هذا الهدف.

Fourthly, my delegation is perplexed by the procedure adopted by the Security Council at the end of August of this year when it took a decision on an item relating to the strength of the United Nations Confidence Restoration Operation in Croatia (UNCRO).
رابعا، يشعر وفد بلدي بالحيرة إزاء اﻹجراء الذي اتخذه مجلس اﻷمن في نهاية آب/اغسطس من هذا العام عندما اتخذ قرارا بشأن بند يتعلق بقوة عملية اﻷمم المتحدة لاستعادة الثقة في كرواتيا.

my delegation is gratified to see that the General Assembly, the Economic and Social Council and the Commission for Social Development, a three-tiered mechanism for the implementation of the outcome of the Summit, have begun their work in their respective roles, in accordance with the mandates conferred on them by General Assembly resolution 50/161.
يشعر وفد بلدي بالرضا وهو يرى الجمعية العامة والمجلس الاقتصــادي والاجتمــاعي ولجنــة التنميـــة الاجتماعية تصطف كآلية ثلاثية لتنفيذ نتائج مؤتمر القمة، وأنها بدأت تضطلع بأعمالها حسب دور كل منها، وتمشيا مع الولايات التي أناطها بها قرار الجمعية العامة ٠٥/١٦١.

It is a matter of great concern to my delegation that the very modest and hard-earned progress of the past few years is being severely undermined by a combination of internal factors and external forces.
يشعر وفد بلدي بقلق كبير لأن التقدم المتواضع جدا الذي أُحرز بشق الأنفس في السنوات القليلة الماضية تقوضه بشدة مجموعة من العوامل الداخلية والقوى الخارجية.
