The European Union had noted the increase in the number of cases submitted to the Court and concurred with the recommendation of ACABQ in paragraph III.3 of its report that the resource implications of that situation should be reviewed in order to ensure that the ability of the Court to discharge its mandate was not adversely affected.

Taking all of those considerations into account, the European Union concurred with the recommendation of the Advisory Committee that the guidelines for the future acceptance of gratis personnel, which were set out in annex I of the report of the Secretary-General, should be redrafted and then submitted to the General Assembly through the Advisory Committee.
١٩ - والاتحاد اﻷوروبي، إذ يراعي كل هذه الاعتبارات، يوافق على توصية اللجنة الاستشارية بإعادة صياغة المبادئ التوجيهية المتعلقة بقبول الموظفين المقدمين دون مقابل مستقبلا والواردة في المرفق اﻷول من تقرير اﻷمين العام، ثم عرضها على الجمعية العامة عن طريق اللجنة الاستشارية.
