If, in the first ballot, the number of candidates obtaining an absolute majority is less than 18, a second ballot will be held and balloting will continue in the same meeting, if and as necessary, until 18 candidates have obtained an absolute majority.
وإذا كان عدد المرشحين الذي حصلوا على أغلبية مطلقة في الاقتراع الأول أقل من 18 مرشحا، يُجرى اقتراع ثان وتستمر الاقتراعات في الجلسة نفسها، إذا لزم الأمر، إلى أن يحصل 18 مرشحا على أغلبية مطلقة.

1. When only one person or member is to be elected and no candidate obtains the required majority in the first ballot, a second ballot shall be taken, which shall be restricted to the two candidates who obtained the greatest number of votes.
1- إذا أُريد انتخاب شخص واحد أو عضو واحد فقط ولم يحصل أي مرشح في الاقتراع الأول على الأغلبية المطلوبة، يُجرى اقتراع ثان يقتصر على المرشحين اللذين حصلا على أكبر عدد من الأصوات.

2. In the case of a tie in the first ballot among more than two candidates obtaining the largest number of votes, a second ballot shall be held.
2 - وفي حالة تعادل الأصوات في الاقتراع الأول بين أكثر من مرشحين اثنين من المرشحين الذين حصلوا على أكبر عدد من الأصوات، يُجرى اقتراع ثان.

2. In the case of a tie in the first ballot among three or more candidates obtaining the largest number of votes, a second ballot shall be held.
2 - في حالة تعادل الأصوات في الاقتراع الأول بين ثلاثة أو أكثر من المرشحين الحاصلين على أكبر عدد من الأصوات، يُجرى اقتراع ثان.

2. In the case of a tie in the first ballot between three or more candidates obtaining the largest number of votes, a second ballot shall be held.
2 - وفي حالة تَعادُل الأصوات في الاقتراع الأول بين ثلاثة أو أكثر من المرشحين الحاصلين على أكبر عدد من الأصوات، يُجرى اقتراع ثان.

1. If, when only one elective place is to be filled, no candidate obtains in the first ballot the majority required, a second ballot shall be taken, confined to the two candidates having obtained the largest number of votes.
1- إذا كان المراد شغل منصب انتخابي واحد ولم يحصل أي مرشح في الاقتراع الأول على الأغلبية اللازمة، يُجرى اقتراع ثان يقتصر على المرشحيْن اللذيْن حصلا على أكبر عدد من الأصوات.

1. If, when one person or one delegation is to be elected, no candidate obtains in the first ballot a majority of the votes cast by the Parties present and voting, a second ballot restricted to the two candidates obtaining the largest number of votes shall be taken.
1 - إذا أريد انتخاب شخص واحد أو وفد واحد ولم يحصل أي مرشح في الاقتراع الأول على أغلبية الأصوات التي أدلت بها الأطراف الحاضرة والمصوتة، يُجرى اقتراع ثان يقتصر على المرشحين اللذين حصلا على أكبر عدد من الأصوات.
