On 8 September, in El Geneina, a religious leader was detained overnight by Sudanese Military Intelligence for allegedly urging people to demonstrate in favour of the United Nations in Darfur during his Friday sermon.
وفي 8 أيلول/سبتمبر، احتجزت الاستخبارات العسكرية السودانية زعيما دينيا، في الجنينة، ليلة واحدة بزعم أنه حث الناس على التظاهر تأييدا للأمم المتحدة في دارفور أثناء خطبة الجمعة.

It replies to the complainant's assertion that the minutes of the interview contain no reference as to whether he was arrested one week after his discussion with the imam and refers to the minutes where it is in effect stated that he was arrested following the closure of his shop, which took place one week after the Friday sermon.
فرداً على تأكيد صاحب الشكوى بأن محضر المقابلة لم يُشر إلى ما إذا كان قد اُعتقل بعد أسبوع من مناقشته مع الإمام، تشير الدولة إلى المحضر الذي أفاد، في الحقيقة، بأنه اعتُقل بعد إغلاق متجره، وهو ما حدث بعد أسبوع من خطبة الجمعة.

وفي خطبة الجمعة بتاريخ 31 أيار/مايو 2013، وكما في كل خطبة جمعة، ومن منبره في الدوحة، أطلق " القرضاوي " أفكاره التحريضية التي تدعو للقتل والكراهية والتعصب ومن ثم " الجهاد " .

وقال الشيخ محمد حسين شيخ المسجد اﻷقصى، بلهجة الاتهام، في خلال خطبة الجمعة التي ألقاها إن تدمير اﻷقصى بمثابة إهانة المسلمين في شتى أنحاء العالم. وأضاف قائلا " إن الاحتلال اﻹسرائيلي ينوي منذ بدايته إلحاق الضرر باﻷماكن المقدسة اﻹسلامية، وعلى رأسها المسجد اﻷقصى " .
