7. The Bureau underlined the importance of securing timely implementation of the review of the GM in the light of the new orientations set by the 10-year strategic plan and framework to enhance the implementation of the Convention as well as the evolving international conjuncture, including the endorsement of the GEF as a financial mechanism of the Convention.
