100. The Special Committee takes note of the adoption of Security Council resolution 1325 (2000) of 31 October 2000 and General Assembly resolution 55/71 of 4 December 2000, which call for urgent attention to mainstreaming a gender perspective into peacekeeping operations.

24. By resolution 1325 (2000), of 31 October 2000, the Security Council expressed its willingness to incorporate a gender perspective into peacekeeping operations and urged the Secretary-General to ensure that, where appropriate, peacekeeping operations included a gender component.
24 - وقد أعرب مجلس الأمن في قراره 1325 (2000) المؤرخ 31 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2001 عن استعداده لإدماج المنظور الجنساني في عمليات حفظ السلام وحث الأمين العام على أن يكفل أن تشمل عمليات حفظ السلام عند الاقتضاء عنصرا جنسانيا.
