Pursuant to decision 4/2, the directory will also include authorities designated under article 13 of the Firearms Protocol, which requests each State party to identify a national body or a single point of contact to act as liaison with other parties on matters related to the Protocol.
وعملا بالمقرّر 4/2، سيشمل الدليل أيضا السلطات المعيّنة بموجب المادة 13 من بروتوكول الأسلحة النارية التي تطلب من كل دولة طرف أن تحدِّد هيئة وطنية أو جهة اتصال وحيدة لتعمل بمثابة صلة وصل بالأطراف الأخرى في المسائل المتصلة بالبروتوكول.

States parties to the Protocol against the Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Their Parts and Components and Ammunition, supplementing the Organized Crime Convention, must also identify a national body or single point of contact to act as a liaison on matters relating to the Protocol (art. 13, para. 2, of that Protocol).
كما يجب على الدول الأطراف في بروتوكول مكافحة صنع الأسلحة النارية وأجزائها ومكوِّناتها والذخيرة والاتجار بها بصورة غير مشروعة، المكمِّل لاتفاقية الجريمة المنظَّمة، أن تحدِّد هيئة وطنية أو نقطة اتصال وحيدة لتعمل كجهة وصل بشأن المسائل المتعلقة بالبروتوكول (الفقرة 2 من المادة 13 من ذلك البروتوكول).

The designation of a national body or a single point of contact for all matters relating to the Firearms Protocol (article 13) could be of vital importance in facilitating and making possible such cooperation and information exchange, especially among countries which do not have regular contact with each other.
وقد يكون لتعيين هيئة وطنية أو جهة اتصال واحدة لجميع المسائل المتصلة ببروتوكول الأسلحة النارية (المادة 13) أهمية حاسمة في تيسير وتحقيق التعاون وتبادل المعلومات، ولا سيما بين البلدان التي ليس لديها اتصال منتظم فيما بينها.

To that end, under article 13 of the Protocol, States parties are required to identify - without prejudice to article 18, paragraph 13, of the Organized Crime Convention which requires the designation of a central authority for mutual legal assistance - a national body or a single point of contact to liaise with other States parties on matters relating to the Protocol.
