Mr. Salvioli noted that, at its 101st session, the Committee had expressed a wish to embark on the revision of rule 70 of its rules of procedure, after reaching a consensus to examine the human rights situation in non-reporting States parties in a public session, and not in a private session as stipulated in the rules of procedure.
