٢ - تنتخب اللجنة هيئة فرعية دائمة تشكل من خمسة من أعضائها، تعد فيما يتعلق بكل طلب قائمة باﻷعضاء المقترحين الذين يمكن أن يقدموا المشورة مع مراعاة الطابع التقني والعلمي لكل طلب.

2 - تنتخب اللجنة هيئة فرعية دائمة تتألف من خمسة من أعضائها، تعد فيما يتعلق بكل طلب قائمة بالأعضاء المقترحين الذين يمكن أن يقدموا المشورة مع مراعاة الطابع التقني والعلمي لكل طلب.

6. In view of the fact that all the submissions agreed that the CRIC has played a key role in the review of the UNCCD implementation of the Convention, it is recommended to renewthat the mandate of the CRIC as a standing subsidiary body to the COP should be renewed.
6- ولما كانت جميع التقارير قد اتفقت على أن اللجنة قامت بدور رئيسي في استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية، فقد أوصي بتجديد ولايتها بصفتها هيئة فرعية دائمة لمؤتمر الأطراف.

Parties have decided to institutionalize the review of the implementation of the Convention by establishing a standing subsidiary body (CRIC) to assist the COP in this respect.
وقررت الأطراف إضفاء الصبغة المؤسسية على استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية عن طريق إنشاء هيئة فرعية دائمة (لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية) لمساعدة مؤتمر الأطراف في هذا الخصوص.

1- قرر مؤتمر الأطراف في اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر، بموجب مقرره 1/م أ-5، أن ينشئ لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية بصفتها هيئة فرعية دائمة لمؤتمر الأطراف من أجل مساعدته في استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية و " الاستراتيجية " استعراضاً منتظماً.

The 21st Consultative Meeting agreed not to establish a standing subsidiary body on compliance issues at that time; instead the Ad Hoc Working Group on Reporting and Compliance, which had been established at the 20th Consultative Meeting and met during the 21st Consultative Meeting, would be convened as and when necessary during future Consultative Meetings.
