Mr. Abdullo Nuri, UTO leader and Chairman of CNR, wrote to President Rakhmonov and to the Speaker of Parliament, emphasizing its incompatibility with the General Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and National Accord in Tajikistan and its adverse effect on the peace process.
وكتب السيد عبد الله نوري زعيم المعارضة الطاجيكية الموحدة ورئيس لجنة المصالحة الوطنية إلى الرئيس رحمونوف وإلى رئيس البرلمان ليشدد على تعارض القرار المذكور مع الاتفاق العام بشأن إقرار السلام والوفاق الوطني في طاجيكستان، ويبرز أثره الضار على عملية السلام.

The opposition representatives said that a well-prepared meeting between President Rakhmonov and opposition leader Abdullo Nuri could be an important step towards a comprehensive solution to the problem.
وذكر ممثلو المعارضة أن عقد اجتماع جيد التحضير بين الرئيس رحمانوف وزعيم المعارضة عبد الله نوري يمكن أن يشكل خطوة هامة نحو التوصل إلى حل للمشكلة يكون شاملا.

5. At Mr. Merrem's initiative, President Emomali Rakhmonov and UTO leader Sayed Abdullo Nuri met at Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, from 16 to 18 May.
٥ - بمبادرة من السيد ميريم، اجتمع الرئيس إيمونالي رحمانوف وزعيم المعارضة الطاجيكية الموحدة سيد عبد الله نوري في الفترة من ٦١ إلى ٨١ أيار/ مايو في بيشكيك، قيرغيزستان.

4. In an effort to stop the ensuing escalation of hostilities and to bring about the fourth round of inter-Tajik talks, my Special Envoy arranged for a meeting with the Chairman of the Islamic Revival Movement of Tajikistan, Mr. Abdullo Nuri, to be held on 10 April at the latter's headquarters in Talokan in northern Afghanistan.
٤ - وفي محاولة لوقف تصاعد اﻷعمال العدائية إثر هذا الحادث، وسعيا إلى عقد جولة المحادثات الرابعة بين الطرفين الطاجيكيين، وضع ممثلي الخاص ترتيبات لعقد اجتماع في ١٠ نيسان/أبريل مع السيد عبدالله نوري رئيس حركة اﻹحياء اﻹسلامي بطاجيكستان في مقره في تالوكان بشمال أفغانستان.

3. President Emomali Rakhmonov and CNR Chairman Abdullo Nuri met on 26 and 28 September, the second time with other members of the UTO leadership present.
٣ - واجتمــع الرئيس إمام علي رحمانوف مع عبد الله نوري رئيس لجنة المصالحة الوطنية يومي ٢٦ و ٢٨ أيلول/سبتمبر، وانضم إليهما في الاجتماع الثاني أعضاء آخرون في قيادة المعارضة الطاجيكية الموحدة.

8. Throughout 1 December, Mr. Merrem, my Special Representative for Tajikistan, was repeatedly in touch with the Government and with Mr. Abdullo Nuri, leader of the UTO.
٨ - وأجرى ممثلي الخاص في طاجيكستان، السيد غرد مرم، طيلة يوم ١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر اتصالات متكررة بالحكومة وبالسيد عبد الله نوري زعيم المعارضة الطاجيكية المتحدة.

2. Following the high-level consultations between the Government of Tajikistan and the Tajik opposition in Moscow from 19 to 26 April 1995, about which I informed the Council in my previous report, President Emomali Rakhmonov initiated a meeting with the Chairman of the Islamic Revival Movement of Tajikistan, Mr. Abdullo Nuri.
٢ - في أعقاب انعقاد المشاورات الرفيعة المستوى بين الحكومة والمعارضة الطاجيكيين في موسكو في الفترة من ١٩ إلى ٢٦ نيسان/ابريل ١٩٩٥، والتي سبق لي أن أخطرت المجلس بها في تقريري السابق، بادر الرئيس إيمومالي رحمنوف بالدعوة إلى عقد اجتماع مع السيد عبد الله نوري رئيس حركة اﻹحياء اﻹسلامي في طاجيكستان.

11. From 7 to 20 May 1996, my new Special Representative for Tajikistan, Mr. Gerd Merrem, undertook his first mission to the region, during which he had negotiations with President Emomali Rakhmonov at Dushanbe and opposition leader Mr. Abdullo Nuri at Tehran.
١١ - وفي الفترة من ٧ الى ٢٠ أيار/مايو ١٩٩٦، اضطلع ممثلي الخاص الجديد لطاجيكستان، السيد غيرد مريم بأول مهمة له في المنطقة، أجرى خلالها مفاوضات مع الرئيس ايمومالي رحمانوف، في دوشانبي، ومع السيد عبد الله نوري زعيم المعارضة، في طهران.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Sharipovich Rakhmonov, and the leader of the United Tajik Opposition, Said Abdullo Nuri, understanding the ruinous nature of the military and political confrontation and aware of the high responsibility for the future of the Tajik people and State, having met in Moscow on 23 December 1996, have agreed as follows:
عمد رئيس جمهورية طاجيكستان، إيمومالي شاريبوفيتش رحمانوف، وزعيم المعارضة الطاجيكية المتحدة، سعيد عبد الله نوري - إدراكا منهما لما تنطوي عليه المواجهة العسكرية السياسية من آثار مدمرة، ولمـا علــى عاتقهمــا من مسؤولية حيال مستقبل طاجيكستان شعبا ودولة - إلى الاجتماع في موسكـو يوم ٢٣ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٦، حيث اتفقا على ما يلي:

2. Since my last report, there has been progress in the implementation of the General Agreement on the Establishment of Peace and National Accord in Tajikistan (A/52/219-S/1997/510, annex I). Mr. Abdullo Nuri, Leader of the United Tajik Opposition (UTO) and Chairman of the Commission on National Reconciliation (CNR), arrived at Dushanbe on 11 September 1997.
٢ - حدث تقدم في تنفيذ الاتفاق العام ﻹقرار السلام وتحقيق الوفاق الوطني في طاجيكستان، منذ تقريري اﻷخير )A/52/219-S/1997/510، المرفق اﻷول(. وقد وصل السيد عبد الله نوري زعيم المعارضة الطاجيكية الموحدة ورئيس لجنة المصالحة الوطنية، إلى دوشانبي في ١١ أيلول/سبتمبر ١٩٩٧.
