It is clear to many of us, I think, that here on this floor of United Nations Headquarters, one end of the corridor is travelling rather low in the water — indeed, some would say that it is shipping too much water — while at this end the General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council are still travelling somewhat above the waterline.
من الواضح للكثيرين منا، على ما أظن، أنه في هذا الطابق من مقر اﻷمم المتحدة نجد أن أحد طرفي الممر يكـاد يغوص تحت الماء - بل قد يقول البعض إنه غارق - في حين نجد في الطرف اﻵخر الجمعية العامة والمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي ما زالا يسبحان إلى حد ما فوق الماء.
