In its operative part, the draft resolution encourages the efforts aimed at achieving national reconciliation in Tajikistan and welcomes with appreciation the efforts undertaken by the Secretary-General to that end.

Reaffirming that the most serious human rights violations in Cambodia in recent history have been committed by the Khmer Rouge, and acknowledging that the final collapse of the Khmer Rouge and the continued efforts of the Government of Cambodia have provided the basis for the restoration of peace and stability with the aim of achieving national reconciliation in Cambodia and the investigation and prosecution of the leaders of the Khmer Rouge,

I welcome the latest developments in Myanmar, in particular the on-going dialogue between the authorities and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and sincerely hope that the dialogue will soon lead to a more transparent process of discussions involving the Government, political parties and ethnic groups, as called for by the resolutions of the General Assembly, a process that, in my view, is indispensable for achieving national reconciliation in Myanmar.
9- أرحب بالتطورات التي استجدت أخيراً في ميانمار، ولا سيما الحوار الجاري بين السلطات وداو أونغ سان سو كي، وآمل صادقاً في أن يفضي الحوار قريباً إلى مباحثات أكثر شفافية بين الحكومة والأحزاب السياسية والجماعات الإثنية، على نحو ما دعت إليه قرارات الجمعية العامة، وهي مباحثات لا غنى عنها في نظري لأجل تحقيق المصالحة الوطنية في ميانمار.

It bears in mind the close interrelationship between ensuring peace and achieving national reconciliation in Tajikistan and the ability of the country to meet the humanitarian needs of its people and to take effective steps towards the rapid revitalization of the economy.
وتضع الديباجة في الاعتبار الترابط الوثيق بين ضمان السلام وتحقيق المصالحة الوطنية في طاجيكستان وقدرة ذلك البلد على الوفاء بالاحتياجات اﻹنسانية لشعبه واتخاذ خطوات فعالة نحو سرعة تنشيط اقتصاده.
