I have the honour to inform you that the national group of the Niger has decided to withdraw its nomination of Mr. Maazou Saidou Adamou as a candidate for the position of judge of the International Court of Justice in the election to be held on Monday, 7 November 2005.
يشرفني أن أحيطكم علما بأن المجموعة الوطنية للنيجر قد قررت سحب ترشيح السيد سيدو أدامو مازو لمنصب قاضٍ من قضاة محكمة العدل الدولية، وذلك في الانتخابات التي ستجرى يوم الاثنين 7 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2005.

77. Mr. Adamou (Niger) welcomed the efforts made by the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice to deter international terrorism. The international community must spare no efforts to prevent a recurrence of the tragic events of 11 September 2001, which continued to haunt the consciousness of all peace-loving peoples.
77 - السيد أدامو (النيجر): رحّب بالجهود التي تبذلها لجنة الأمم المتحدة بشأن منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية لردع الإرهاب الدولي مطالبا المجتمع الدولي بأن لا يألو جهدا في منع تكرار الحوادث المأساوية التي وقعت يوم 11 أيلول/سبتمبر 2001 التي ما زالت تثقل ضمير جميع الشعوب المحبة للسلام.

63. Mr. Adamou (Niger) said that his delegation had voted in favour of the Declaration and interpreted article 46, paragraphs 1 and 2, thereof in line with the principles of the African Union.
