On 10 December 2009, the Advisory Committee had held a hearing with representatives of the Secretary-General regarding the letter dated 9 December 2009 addressed to the President of the General Assembly on the subject of the general security situation within Afghanistan and other high threat locations (A/C.5/64/10).
