194. In regard to children with disabilities, the Committee recommends that the State party develop early identification programmes to prevent disabilities, implement alternative measures to the institutionalization of disabled children, and envisage awareness—raising campaigns to reduce discrimination against disabled children and encourage their inclusion into society.
٤٩١- وفيما يخص اﻷطفال المعوقين، توصي اللجنة بأن تضع الدولة الطرف برنامجاً للاكتشاف المبكر من أجل الوقاية من العجز وتنفيذ التدابير البديلة لايداع اﻷطفال المعوقين في المؤسسات، وأن تنظر في تنظيم حملات توعية للحد من التمييز ضد اﻷطفال المعوقين وتشجيع إدماجهم في المجتمع.

318. While acknowledging the State party's commitment to evaluating the effectiveness of policy implementation for disabled children, the Committee recommends that such policy be reviewed to ensure that it reflects the general principles of the Convention, particularly as regards preventing and combating discrimination against disabled children.
٣١٨ - ولئن كانت اللجنة تعترف بالتزام الدولة الطرف بتقييم فعالية تنفيذ السياسات المتعلقة باﻷطفال المعوقين، فإنها توصي باستعراض هذه السياسات لضمان تعبيرها عن المبادئ العامة للاتفاقية، وبخاصة فيما يتعلق بمنع ومكافحة التمييز ضد اﻷطفال المعوقين.

378. The Committee would like to suggest that further consideration be given to evaluating the effectiveness of measures to raise awareness for the prevention and combating of discrimination and promoting of tolerance, particularly with respect to discrimination on the grounds of gender, ethnic origin, and discrimination against disabled children and children born out of wedlock.
٣٧٨ - وتود اللجنة أن تقترح مواصلة الاهتمام بتقييم فعالية التدابير المتخذة لزيادة الوعي من أجل منع ومكافحة التمييز ونشر التسامح، وبخاصة فيما يتعلق بالتمييز بسبب الجنس واﻷصل العرقي، والتمييز ضد اﻷطفال المعوقين واﻷطفال المولودين خارج نطاق الزواج.

(e) States should actively challenge attitudes and practices which discriminate against disabled children and deny them equal opportunities to the rights guaranteed by the Convention, including infanticide, traditional practices prejudicial to health and development, superstition, perception of disability as a tragedy;

183. Strategies and educational programmes along with the adequate dissemination of information should be undertaken in order to counter certain prejudices which affect children negatively, such as gender-based discrimination (known as machismo) and discrimination against disabled children (especially in rural areas), and to enhance the participation of children, in particular within the family.
١٨٣ - وينبغي الاضطلاع باستراتيجيات وبرامج تعليمية مع التعميم المناسب للمعلومات من أجل التصدي لبعض التحيزات التي تؤثر على اﻷطفال تأثيرا سلبيا، مثل التمييز على أساس الجنس )وهو ما يطلق عليه " machismo " ( والتمييز ضد اﻷطفال المعوقين )وخصوصا في المناطق الريفية(، وزيادة اشتراك اﻷطفال، وخصوصا في محيط اﻷسرة.
