Pursuant to the request contained in paragraph 9 of resolution 63/119, the Office of Legal Affairs made a number of referrals whereby it brought credible allegations that reveal that a crime may have been committed by United Nations officials and experts on mission to the attention of the States against whose nationals such allegations had been made.
59 - وعملا بالطلب الوارد في الفقرة 9 من القرار 63/119، قام مكتب الشؤون القانونية بعدد من الإحالات عرض فيها ادعاءات موثوقا بها تكشف النقاب عن شبهة ارتكاب جرائم من جانب موظفي الأمم المتحدة وخبرائها الموفدين في بعثات على الدول التي وجهت تلك الادعاءات ضد رعاياها.

Sections V and VI of the report relate to activities undertaken within the Secretariat in the implementation of paragraphs 9 to 14 of the resolution, focusing in particular on information regarding the bringing of credible allegations that reveal that a crime may have been committed by United Nations officials or experts on mission to the attention of the States against whose nationals such allegations are made, and matters related thereto.

Referrals are made under General Assembly resolution 62/63, pursuant to which the Secretary-General has an obligation " to bring credible allegations that reveal that a crime may have been committed by United Nations officials and experts on mission to the attention of the States against whose nationals such allegations are made " .
وتوجَّه الإحالات بموجب قرار الجمعية العامة 62/63 الذي يلتزم الأمين العام وفقا له بأن " يعرض الادعاءات الموثوق بها التي تكشف النقاب عن شبهة ارتكاب جريمة من قِـبَـل موظفي الأمم المتحدة وخبرائها الموفدين في بعثات، على الدول التي وجهت تلك الادعاءات ضد رعاياها " .

A new phrase, " including referrals to appropriate authorities for prosecution and the procedures therefor " , had been included in paragraph 17, bearing in mind the importance of the request in paragraph 9 that the Secretary-General should bring credible allegations that a crime might have been committed by United Nations officials or experts on mission to the attention of the States against whose nationals such allegations were made.
