There were serious security issues to consider, as an international complaint implicating Egypt could expose Mr. Alzery to further ill treatment and torture.
وكان من اللازم مراعاة قضايا أمنية جدية، نظراً إلى أن شكوى دولية تهم مصر قد تعرض السيد الزيري لمزيد من المعاملة السيئة والتعذيب.

Firstly, it questioned whether the communication was in fact submitted on behalf of the alleged victim, suggesting that Mr. Alzery might only have recently
أولها أن الدولة الطرف تتساءل عما إذا كان البلاغ قد قُدم فعلاً بالنيابة عن الضحية المزعومة، معتبرة أن السيد الزيري ربما لم يعلم إلاّ مؤخراً بتقديم البلاغ بالنيابة عنه.

As to the question of ongoing authority to act, counsel argued that she retains plenary power to advance the communication on Mr. Alzery's behalf.
وفيما يتعلق بتفويضها لتمثيل صاحب البلاغ، دفعت المحامية بأنها حصلت على تفويض مطلق لتقديم البلاغ بالنيابة عن السيد الزيري.

After having been assured that Mr. Alzery wanted to pursue his complaint to the Human Rights Committee, Mr. Alzery advised that the person who called him was the interpreter employed by the Embassy.
إلا أن السيد الزيري أكد أنه يرغب في رفع شكواه إلى اللجنة المعنية بحقوق الإنسان وأن الشخص الذي اتصل به على الهاتف هو المترجم الشفوي التابع للسفارة.

Mr. Alzery had, through his then lawyer, made clear to the Swedish Government that if a decision to expel were to be taken he would turn to an international body such as the European Court.
وكان السيد الزيري قد أوضح للحكومة السويدية، من خلال محاميه السابق، أنه سيلجأ إلى هيئة دولية، كالمحكمة الأوروبية، في حال اتخاذ قرار بطرده.

She also refers to Alzery v. Sweden, where the Committee accepted that removal to a country which may have exposed the author to a manifestly unfair trial could give rise to a claim under article 14.
