Although the right of the child to be heard was clearly articulated in the Convention, the working group focused on how to translate that right into effective and participative dialogue among the Government, community organizations, NGOs, adults, parents and children, and among children themselves.
ورغم أن حق الطفل في الاستماع إليه منصوص عليه بشكل واضح في الاتفاقية، ركز الفريق العامل على كيفية تطبيق ذلك الحق في مجال الحوار الفعلي والتشاركي ما بين الحكومة، والمنظمات المجتمعية، والمنظمات غير الحكومية، والكبار، والآباء والأطفال، وفيما بين الأطفال أنفسهم.

I expect that the advocacy campaign to stop violence against children will not only raise awareness in communities but also promote awareness among children themselves in order to encourage child victims to report incidents to the police or child-protection actors and to let them know that they have the right to access social and legal services.
وأتوقع لهذه الحملة لوقف العنف ضد الأطفال ألاّ ترفع مستوى الوعي في المجتمعات المحلية فحسب، وإنما تعزز الوعي بين الأطفال أنفسهم أيضاً، بغية تشجيع الضحايا منهم على الإبلاغ عن الحوادث لدى الشرطة أو الأطراف المعنية بحماية الأطفال، وجعْلهم يعلمون أنه من حقهم الحصول على الخدمات الاجتماعية والقانونية.

247. The Committee recommends that the State party strengthen its efforts to disseminate the Convention throughout the country and to raise public awareness about its principles and provisions, in particular among children themselves, parents, teachers and local authorities, as well as among indigenous groups and in rural areas.
247- توصي اللجنة بأن تعزز الدولة الطرف جهودها لنشر الاتفاقية في جميع أنحاء البلد وإذكاء الوعي العام بمبادئها وأحكامها، وبصفة خاصة فيما بين الأطفال أنفسهم والآباء والمدرسين والسلطات المحلية، وكذلك فيما بين جماعات السكان الأصليين وفي المناطق الريفية.

187. The Committee recommends that the State party strengthen its efforts to disseminate the principles and provisions of the Convention and to undertake systematic education and training for all professional groups working for and with children, and also strengthen its efforts to raise public awareness about the Convention, in particular among children themselves and among parents. 187- توصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف بأن تعزز جهودها لنشر مبادئ الاتفاقية وأحكامها، وأن تنظم دورات تثقيفية وتدريبية منتظمة لجميع فئات المهنيين العاملين من أجل الأطفال ومعهم ، وأن تعزز جهودها أيضا لإذكاء وعي الجمهور بالاتفاقية، ولا سيما بين الأطفال أنفسهم وبين الآباء.

It is also concerned that the level of awareness of the Convention seems low among the public at large and among children themselves.
وهي تشعر بالقلق أيضاً لأن مستوى الوعي بالاتفاقية يبدو ضعيفاً في صفوف الجمهور عامة وفي صفوف الأطفال أنفسهم.

An expert consultation in Geneva in October 2010 had concluded that child-sensitive mechanisms were urgently needed and should be set up in all countries by 2013, that they should be accessible, legitimate and effective and that their success greatly depended on the trust they generated among children themselves.
وخلصت مشاورة للخبراء عُقدت في جنيف في تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2010 إلى أنه تلزم على وجه الاستعجال آليات تراعي احتياجات الأطفال، وينبغي أن تُنشأ في جميع البلدان بحلول عام 2013، وينبغي أن يتاح الوصول إليها وأن تكون شرعية وفعالة وأن يستند نجاحها بشكل كبير إلى الثقة التي تولدها بين الأطفال أنفسهم.

23. While noting the efforts undertaken to provide child rights education to children and teachers through the inclusion of human rights of the child in the primary education curriculum, the Committee is concerned at the low level of awareness of the Convention among children themselves and the general public.
23- بينما تلاحظ اللجنة الجهود المبذولة لتوفير تعليم حقوق الطفل للأطفال والمعلمين من خلال إدراج حقوق الإنسان للطفل في مناهج التعليم الابتدائي، فإنها تشعر بالقلق إزاء انخفاض مستوى الوعي بالاتفاقية بين الأطفال أنفسهم والجمهور عموماً.

20. The Committee recommends that the State party strengthen its efforts to systematically disseminate and promote the Convention among the public at large and in particular among professionals working with and for children, and among children themselves.
20- وتوصي اللجنة بأن تعزز الدولة الطرف جهودها في سبيل القيام على نحو منهجي بنشر الاتفاقية وترويجها بين عامة الناس وبخاصة في صفوف المهنيين العاملين مع الأطفال ومن أجلهم وفي صفوف الأطفال أنفسهم.
