A number of Mediterranean member countries of ECE sponsored General Assembly resolution 48/81 on strengthening of security and cooperation in the Mediterranean region, recognizing and reaffirming the enhancement of cooperation among Mediterranean countries with a view to promoting the economic, cultural, environmental and social development of the region.
٩٨ - وقد اشترك عدد من بلدان منطقة البحر المتوسط اﻷعضاء في اللجنة الاقتصادية ﻷوروبا في تقديم قرار الجمعية العامة ٤٨/٨١ المتعلق بتعزيز اﻷمن والتعاون في منطقة البحر المتوسط الذي يسلم بأهمية تعزيز التعاون فيما بين بلدان البحر المتوسط ويعيد تأكيدها بغية تشجيع التنمية الاقتصادية والثقافية والبيئية والاجتماعية في المنطقة.
