It requested that the Government take the necessary steps to remedy the situation, i.e. the immediate release of these individuals, and accord them an enforceable right to compensation in accordance with article 9, paragraph 5 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

Taking into account all the circumstances of the case, the Working Group considers that the adequate remedy would be to release Mr. al-Hulaibi immediately and accord him an enforceable right to compensation in accordance with article 9, paragraph 5, of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
